Hello! I'm Danielle (she/they), long-time fandom nerd and internet layabout.  

I've been adjacent to fandom since ~2003, but really dug into it in early 2012 when I joined Tumblr for the first time.  Since then, my fandom interest has waxed and waned, and changed quite a bit.  I've made gifsets, read fic (so much fic), written fic, gone all-out on tagfic and meta discussion, and flailed about Superwholock (ugh).  Nowadays I mostly beta fic for others, although I've got a couple of pet projects that I'm working on.

The list of things that I am fixated on in the moment changes on a fairly regular basis, but I will always call Doctor Who and Animorphs my home.  Other fannish interests include, but are not limited to: podcasts (The Adventure Zone, Friends at the Table, Follow the Leader, MBMBAM, Sawbones, and Welcome to Night Vale), tabletop roleplaying games of all kinds, the Gallifrey audio dramas by Big Finish, Steven Universe, and a smattering of MCU (Matt Murdock- and Tony Stark-centric)

Offline, I'm a 28-year-old in the US with a nerdy husband, two cats, a great dane, and a red-tailed hawk.  I have a Ph.D. in chemistry and love science in all its forms.  My husband and I regularly participate in our local chapter of the SCA, a medieval reenactment group.  I love to cook and craft and explore outdoors.

A while ago, a group of my friends started a game of D&D, and not long after that our game became a podcast.  The Room Where It Happened is an actual-play podcast set in a magic-punk noir aesthetic fantasy city, and I play the smol angry birb monk, Tseer Darkfeather.  I write fic for it, mostly because I am incredibly excited about it and choose to Be The Fic I Want To See.
