Inspired by
caramelchameleon, I'm gonna see if I can't post up weekly summaries of neat things I've seen and done, so as to "encourage cross pollination", as they put it. So.

shipperslist posted this really cool Whumptober prompt list. Is it way past October? Yeah. Am I probably gonna use it as inspiration for some of my drabbles anyway? Also yes.
g_uava posted in
fictional_fans some meta regarding "closed" versus "open" canons (i.e. canon that still produces content, versus canon that has ended). There's some discussion happening in the comments, but mostly it made me think about the fandoms I care about and how I would classify their canons.
solarbird has been spreading around this master list of master lists of communities here on DW. Many of the lists haven't actually been updated very recently, but some of you may find it helpful!
I'm still subscribed to
the_great_tumblr_purge and
addme_fandom to build up my subscribe list. Tumblr has me INCREDIBLY spoiled with regards to breadth of feed.

Georgia Tennant continues to be the hero we don't deserve.
An interesting article about the mirror test and cognition in animals.
This Week's Drabbles
Abrazo (RWIH, Tseer/Wyatt)
Sanguine (RWIH, Corra/Otto)
Ivy League (FtL, Merril/Max)
